Empress Perfume

Introduction

Directly from the Court of St Petersburg, the Imperial Capital of Russia, comes a range of unique and exquisite fragrances and bottle designs. Originally created for Tsarina Alexandra, these are absolute ultimate in designer toiletries, and both the scent recipes and the bottle designs are available for the very first time to license through EAGLECROWN.

Perfumes and flavoured bath waters were always important to Tsarina Alexandra. Manufacturers from all over Europe would visit the Imperial Russian Court to tempt her with their fares, though her favourites were usually of the home-grown variety, produced by the Russian merchants Pino, Ostroumov and Ralle. She selected her fragrances to reflect her restrained nature and imperial position, favouring delicate, flower-based perfumes from flowers that she grew in her beloved Alexander Park - lilac, jasmine, roses, violets and, in particular, verbena. Held in the private boudoir of the Tsarina herself in her palace in the beautiful Tsarskoye Selo in St Petersburg, there remains a collection of charming perfume and toiletry bottles - all designed specifically for the ladies of the Imperial household by Moscow's renowned Imperial Glass Factory.
